Jon Fontenot

Bio

Fontenot & Associates Recruiting is lead by Jon Fontenot a 15+ year veteran of the Finance & Accounting Industry.  

His extensive background in the Finance & Accounting field began at Louisiana State University where he received a Bachelors of Science in Finance with a Concentration in Commercial Banking.  After graduating from LSU, Jon began a career in the Financial Services arena working in the Insurance and Investment industry with Northwestern Mutual.  He transitioned the knowledge gained there in combination with his Degree into a role with Bank One. When the merger of JP Morgan Chase and Bank One began; Jon was given the opportunity to help with the conversion in Texas (one of the few States with overlap).  After moving on to another bank in conversion mode (Compass), Jon found his way into the recruiting world.  Since then his experience has been expansive having worked in a boutique firm specializing in Banking, a global executive recruiting firm, and a start up.

Over his career Jon has worked with Large Financial Institutions, small independent firms and everything in between; placing professionals in a wide variety of categories including: CFO, CEO, COO, President, Controller, Chief Compliance Officer, BSA Officer, Accountant, Senior Associate, Executive Assistant, Loan Operations, Risk Analyst, Underwriter, Credit Analyst, Branch Manager, Wholesaler, Director of Planning, Para-planner, Operations Manager, Commercial Lender, Market President, Human Resources, Bookkeeper, Receptionist, Teller, Customer Service Representatives and more.

Jon enjoys networking, cooking, LSU Football and spending time with his Wife Siobhan and their three boys Jourdan, Jon Jr and Jaxson.
